these oven mitts are handmade using plant-dyed fabric scraps. the outer material is 100% cotton sourced secondhand and the inner material is also 100% cotton, also sourced secondhand. they are lined with a layer of 100% cotton batting and an additional layer of pellon-polyester insul fleece on the palm side, which is designed to reflect heat and finished with hand-stitches using cotton sashiko thread.
